Job Summary:
The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Assessment and Guidance Team as a Frontline Support Specialist. This role plays a pivotal part in raising awareness, knowledge, and understanding of our organization with members of the public and providers of public services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming enquiry calls, providing relevant guidance and advice on how to make a complaint and information on the role of the SPSO.
- Set up new complaints on SPSO's complaint handling system, taking lead responsibility for administrative tasks.
- Work in a customer-facing role, ideally with complaints handling experience, and possess strong communication and administrative skills.
- Have good knowledge and experience of a customer services environment, ideally within a public service organization under the Ombudsman's jurisdiction.
- Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and experience of a range of IT applications are essential.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years' experience of working in a frontline, customer-facing role.
