Job Title: Technical Specialist

At Kenton Black, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Organic Laboratory Manager in various laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and validate new analytical methods in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Complete validation statements and perform non-routine testing to support clients' requirements.
  • Provide technical training for staff involved in method development and implementation.
  • Organize, evaluate, install, and validate new laboratory instruments.
  • Review and write analytical methods to aid continuous improvement.
  • Investigate atypical results and quality system failures raised by clients or internal/external audits.
Requirements:
  • BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge and experience of complex laboratory equipment and processes, including LCQQQ, GCQQQ, GCMS, and GCGC analysis and extraction.
  • Proven experience of working in a laboratory, preferably within the Environmental industry.
