Position Overview

Corus Consultancy is currently in search of a proficient and seasoned Vehicle Assembly Technician to become a vital part of our workforce. In this role, you will be instrumental in the repair and refurbishment of automobiles, concentrating on mechanical, electrical, and trim elements.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to pinpoint mechanical, electrical, and trim-related issues in vehicles.
  • Repairing or substituting damaged mechanical parts, including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and exhaust systems.
  • Identifying and resolving electrical malfunctions, such as wiring, circuits, and electrical components, utilizing diagnostic instruments and equipment.
  • Restoring or replacing damaged trim elements, including upholstery, dashboards, door panels, and both interior and exterior trims.
  • Executing precise and effective mechanical adjustments, alignments, and calibrations as required.
  • Adhering to manufacturer guidelines and repair protocols to uphold the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborating with fellow team members, including painters and preppers, to ensure a smooth workflow and timely project completion.
  • Maintaining detailed records of repairs, parts utilized, and time allocated to each task.
  • Keeping abreast of industry innovations and engaging in training programs to enhance technical expertise.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician in an automotive repair or collision center.
  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
  • Exceptional mechanical abilities, including the capacity to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts with accuracy.
  • Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems, including wiring diagrams and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience in the repair or replacement of upholstery, trims, and other interior/exterior components.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to work meticulously to achieve high-quality repairs.
Additional Requirements

A vocational training or certification in automotive repair is preferred, along with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
