About the Role

Premier Recruitment Group is partnering with a well-established organization in East London to recruit an Electrical Assembly Technician to join their team. This is an exciting, full-time and permanent role with fast internal progression opportunities.

The Role

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for technical configuration and testing of electronic hardware products. A passion for technology is essential for this role, which is both exciting and varied. Your focus will be on supporting projects and customer orders with your technical expertise. Full training will be provided during the induction period.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical setup and configuration of smart and mobile vehicle camera technologies
  2. Supporting projects and product development via bench testing and commissioning systems
  3. Internal testing for software bugs and hardware faults
  4. Assisting managers to ensure that services and systems are operational and maintained to the highest level
  5. Accurately updating and inputting data onto databases and stock control systems
  6. Assisting with planning and installation of mobile CCTV equipment for customers and recording assets in accordance with policies and procedures
  7. Providing technical assistance and logging/completing support tickets through our IT ticketing system
  8. Creating wiring diagrams/schematics for engineering projects
  9. Assembling wiring harnesses
  10. Scheduling and booking engineering resources for projects
  11. Testing faulty electronic devices
  12. Assisting engineering activities both on and off site
  13. Opportunity for CAD work and training
Requirements
  1. An individual with warehousing and/or technical hardware experience would be ideal
  2. Candidate must have moderate to strong IT skills, with excellent organizational and administrative skills
  3. The ability to efficiently meet timelines and effectively manage orders is a must
  4. Experience of Vehicle CCTV, CCTV, Telematics, or vehicle-related industries is advantageous but not essential
Qualifications and Education
  1. Ideally a degree or further education qualification in a technical, engineering, IT or business management related field
  2. A full UK driver's license would be preferred but not essential (preferably clean)
  3. Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering qualification (Mechanical/IT related might work)
  4. Technical work experience (Assembly experience quite a good fit or telecoms)
  5. Stock Control and/or Health & Safety understanding/experience

  1. Methodical approach to problem solving and ability to use own initiative
  2. Ability to communicate technical information clearly with non-technical staff and customers
  3. Enjoys challenging themselves and wanting to learn new skills and new technology
  4. Willing, where needed, to get involved with all aspects of the business
