Position: Commissioning Engineer

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Commissioning Engineer to become a vital part of our team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effective commissioning of generators nationwide.

Your collaboration with project managers, electrical engineers, and field technicians will be essential to guarantee that generators are properly installed, tested, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate generator installations and prepare for commissioning.
  • Work alongside project teams to formulate commissioning plans and timelines.
  • Execute functional tests, load tests, and performance evaluations on generators.
  • Identify and resolve any operational issues related to generators.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards during the commissioning process.
  • Provide technical assistance to field technicians throughout installation and commissioning.
  • Document all commissioning activities, test outcomes, and any modifications implemented.
  • Educate end-users on generator operation and maintenance protocols.
Candidate Profile:

  • Willingness to travel and work away (with a compensation package).
  • Possession of an NVQ or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with generators is advantageous.
  • Electrically qualified and registered.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute risk assessments.
  • Capability to interpret and follow electrical schematics and schedules.
  • City & Guilds 18th edition electrical regulations (or equivalent) certification.
  • Valid Full UK driving licence.
