Position: Commissioning Engineer

We are looking for a talented and experienced Commissioning Engineer to become a vital part of our team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effective commissioning of generators nationwide.

Your collaboration with project managers, electrical engineers, and field technicians will be essential to guarantee that generators are properly installed, tested, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate generator installations and prepare for commissioning.
  • Work alongside project teams to formulate commissioning plans and timelines.
  • Execute functional tests, load tests, and performance evaluations on generators.
  • Identify and resolve any operational issues related to generators.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards during the commissioning process.
  • Provide technical assistance to field technicians throughout installation and commissioning.
  • Document all commissioning activities, test outcomes, and any modifications made.
  • Educate end-users on the operation and maintenance of generators.
Candidate Profile:

  • Willingness to travel and work away from home (with a compensation package).
  • Possession of an NVQ or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with generators is advantageous.
  • Electrically qualified and registered.
  • Ability to understand and complete risk assessments.
  • Proficient in interpreting and following electrical schematics and schedules.
  • City & Guilds 18th edition electrical regulations (or equivalent) certification.
  • Valid Full UK driving licence.

  • Competitive salary ranging from £55k to £70K OTE, with overtime available after 40 hours.
