Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented NPD Graduate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Food Science, preferably with a placement year during their degree. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in product development and contribute to the creation of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the NPD team in the development of new products from concept to launch, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct research on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to support the NPD process, providing valuable insights to inform product development decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Production, to ensure successful product launches and meet business objectives.
  • Prepare product formulations, prototypes, and samples for internal and external evaluation, ensuring that all products meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the management of product specifications, documentation, and compliance with relevant food safety and quality standards, ensuring that all products are safe for consumption.
  • Support the coordination of sensory evaluations and product trials, providing valuable feedback to inform product development decisions.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure key milestones are met, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Provide administrative support to the NPD team, including data entry, report preparation, and meeting coordination, ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in Food Science or a related discipline is essential, with a strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • A placement year or relevant experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly within NPD, is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of product development and launch processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • A passion for health and wellness, with a proactive approach to product innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
