Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Food Science, preferably with a placement year during their degree. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in product development and contribute to the creation of our clients' products.
- Assist the Product Development team in the creation of new products from concept to launch.
- Conduct market research on trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to support the product development process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Production to ensure successful product launches.
- Prepare product formulations, prototypes, and samples for internal and external evaluation.
- Assist in the management of product specifications, documentation, and compliance with relevant food safety and quality standards.
- Support the coordination of sensory evaluations and product trials.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure key milestones are met.
- Provide administrative support to the Product Development team, including data entry, report preparation, and meeting coordination.
- A degree in Food Science or a related discipline is essential.
- A placement year or relevant experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly within product development, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
