About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join our team at a highly regarded primary school in Haringey. As a key member of our staff, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 5 students, promoting active participation and academic growth.
  • Assess students' progress and provide timely and constructive feedback, ensuring they meet their full potential.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and motivated to learn.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, driving student success.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on students' progress, fostering strong relationships.
  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction to Year 5 students, utilizing a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school, preferably with experience in Year 5.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a productive and respectful learning environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Able to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, promoting inclusivity and equity.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and growth, staying up-to-date with best practices in education.
