About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Manager to join our team at Home Instead. As a Care Manager, you will be responsible for the start-up, growth, and development of our domiciliary care service, ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director to coordinate the setup, growth, and development of a high-quality private domiciliary care service for older people in the local area.
  • Network in the local community to raise awareness of the service and promote the highest standards of care and service.
  • Recruit and train Care Professionals to deliver exceptional care to our clients.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage a team, ensuring exceptional service is delivered to our clients and workloads are managed accordingly.
  • Ensure the successful operation of quality control systems and perform quality assurance visits for clients.
  • Continually review and improve our processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is always being delivered.
  • Effectively manage complaints and incidents, carrying out investigations and using findings to initiate improvements.

Requirements:

  • Extensive care experience with excellent customer service and people management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate achievement of business growth targets.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills, with the drive and motivation to take on a broad role and develop our care services.
  • Ability to work well and accurately under pressure, while working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the business, including participating in an on-call rota.
  • Possess a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and be willing to work towards the NVQ Level 5.
