We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at The Midland Hotel. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance tasks and ensuring that all hotel facilities are maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily maintenance tasks, including repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure that all hotel facilities are maintained to the highest standard, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas
  • Manage and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure that all facilities are properly maintained
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping and engineering, to ensure that all facilities are properly maintained
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce maintenance costs

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Proven ability in one or more of the following skills: electrical, plumbing, carpentry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external contractors
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team of maintenance staff
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues
