Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of our SEND policy and provision
  • Work closely with the Principal, Assistant Principal for Inclusion, and Senior Leadership Team to ensure that all students with SEND receive the support they need to succeed
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and deliver inclusive learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of all students
  • Provide expert guidance and support to families and carers of students with SEND
  • Lead on casework and directing the SEND Team and members of the wider student support team

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a SEND role, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents
  • Knowledge of SEND legislation and policies, including the SEND Code of Practice
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
