Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Technical Architect to join our team and spearhead the development of our upcoming project utilizing the Unreal Engine across mobile and various platforms. This role is pivotal in enhancing our previous successes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architectural Leadership: Define and oversee the technical framework for the game on the client side, ensuring seamless integration with our server technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and producers to assess feature complexity, plan releases, and deliver timely code solutions.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Engagement: Partner with Art, UX, and UI teams to refine tools and processes for content creation, import pipelines, prototyping, production, and testing.
  • Software Development: Ensure the development of well-structured, adaptable, and testable software for mobile and other platforms.
  • Operational Excellence: Promote a technical strategy that supports sustainable live operations, regular game updates, and high-quality rapid releases.
  • Technical Debt Management: Oversee the effective management of technical debt within the project.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Technical Director or Architect in developing and launching multiple games using Unreal Engine, including at least one Game as a Service.
  • Extensive knowledge of C++ and a comprehensive understanding of mobile CPU and GPU hardware.
  • Recognized authority in AAA game architecture.
  • Expertise in various domains such as NPC behavior, AI, multiplayer systems, UI/UX, meta game systems, F2P mechanics, graphics, tools, and game engines.
  • Strong grasp of design patterns, memory and performance optimization, and the ability to effectively communicate and share knowledge.
  • Experience mentoring engineers throughout the game development lifecycle.
  • Ability to articulate technical challenges, recommendations, and solutions to senior leadership.
  • Experience with PC and console projects, as well as server systems and architectures.
  • Background in developing first or third-person shooter games.
