Job Title: Data Analyst

Thorpe Molloy McCulloch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join their team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial data analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review annual financial statements, including consolidated financial statements prepared under IFRS.
  • Collaborate with the UK Tax Team to supply accurate information for tax provisioning, tax returns, and tax planning purposes.
  • Prepare monthly income statements and balance sheets, ensuring required elements are booked and understood.
  • Collate variance analysis on key metrics, including production, opex, capex, abex, revenue, free cash flow, and working capital.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting packages for group financial reporting and supporting analysis through provided tools and schedules.
  • Liaise with External Auditors throughout the group and statutory audits.
  • Support in preparing monthly ARO accretion adjustments and annual ARO liability updates.
  • Prepare monthly revenue accounting in coordination with the Marketing and Production Teams, including sales, revenue accruals, and overlift and underlift.
  • Prepare and maintain fixed assets register, including additions, depreciation, impairment postings.
  • Support monthly closing of intercompany balances.
  • Prepare accounts aging.
  • Assist with month-end/year-end adjustments.
  • Support in preparing financial information for Board meetings.
Requirements:
  • Professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience in financial reporting and accounting roles, with an understanding of statutory reporting requirements and consolidation processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
