Senior Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Principal Associate to join our Commercial team in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading on major projects, drafting and negotiating high-value commercial contracts, and mentoring and supervising junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on major projects, including student accommodation projects, and take a lead on the team's ambition to do more in the market for direct let student accommodation.
- Draft and negotiate high-value commercial contracts, including project agreements and real estate forward funding/development agreements.
- Liaise with other specialists in the firm to ensure a seamless service and undertake and coordinate project management.
- Actively participate in business development initiatives and marketing events, including developing a network of contacts with other specialist advisers operating in the sector.
- Mentor and supervise junior members of the team.
- 5+ years PQE with a background in the projects/commercial field.
- Relevant commercial/projects experience, including experience of advising on major commercial contracts.
- Strong drafting skills and knowledge of public procurement processes.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a rapport with colleagues, clients, and multipliers.
- The ability to work under pressure and often to tight deadlines.
