Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical sub-contractors and direct labour, general material procurement, and ensuring all works are completed in accordance with the SLA and KPI's.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical sub-contractors and direct labour to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Procure materials and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Oversee on-site contractors to ensure their work is completed to the required standard.
  • Respond to defects, faults, and client requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required.
  • Ensure all planned maintenance tasks are completed within the designated time period.
  • Proactively identify material requirements and complete necessary paperwork.

Requirements

  • Hold a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least 5 years' experience working in an engineering role, with experience of both design and construction.
  • Have experience managing mechanical packages in excess of £20 million.
  • Hold a SMSTS/CSCS card and have the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
