Job Summary

Marsden is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President Legal to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in advising our global markets team on regulatory matters related to our asset management business.

About the Role

  • Provide regulatory advice and guidance to our global markets team on matters related to equity and fixed income cash trading, OTC derivatives, exchange traded derivatives, prime brokerage, repos, securities lending, clearing, structured notes, and foreign exchange.
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including EMIR, MiFID II, SFTR, CSDR, and emerging regulations in the digital asset space.
  • Collaborate with other legal teams across the globe and other legal and compliance groups to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to regulatory matters.
  • Work closely with our business teams to identify and mitigate regulatory risks, and to develop solutions that meet our business objectives.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in private practice and/or in-house, with a solid understanding of regulatory advocacy and implementation.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant regulations, including EMIR, MiFID II, SFTR, CSDR, and emerging regulations in the digital asset space.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
