Job Overview

We are thrilled to announce a position within the Outpatients division of University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, where you will become an integral part of our diverse and dedicated team, providing care for both pediatric and adult patients in various clinical and surgical environments.

The Outpatients department plays a crucial role in the patient experience, whether it involves initial consultations, follow-up visits, or minor surgical interventions. Our nursing staff is committed to supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey.

If you possess outstanding communication abilities and a genuine passion for assisting patients in a clinical or surgical context, we have an excellent opportunity for you within our welcoming outpatient team.

This position starts at a band 2 level, with the potential to progress to band 3 upon successful completion of the care certificate and associated competencies.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Proficient in numeracy and literacy
  • Care Certificate
  • Completion of a competency-based workbook or relevant experience equivalent to vocational level 3

Experience

Essential

  • Ability to adapt and learn in a healthcare setting

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a care environment or NHS
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience engaging with the public
  • Basic food handling knowledge

Technical Skills / Competencies
