We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary teams at Leeds Walk-in Centre and LGI. This is a new role due to the growth of the service and an enhanced model of care.
About the RoleThe Advanced Clinical Practitioner will assess, diagnose, and plan care for patients, including prescribing medications where clinically indicated. They will manage acute presentations to the Walk-In Centre, as part of a team of autonomous Practitioners, and determine the best pathway for patients presenting to the Walk-in Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Face-to-face consultations
- Urgent primary care and referral to other services when necessary
- Providing patient-focused, evidence-based practice to a high standard
- Supporting the wider MDT to ensure patients are seen by the right person
- First-level registered Nurse (NMC), HCPC professional, or Pharmacist
- MSc or equivalent in Advanced Practice
- Advanced Physical Assessment and Consultation Skills Level 7
- Minor Illness Level 7
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Minimum 3-year experience post-level 7 qualifications in primary/urgent post-qualification
- Paediatric Course Level 7 (desirable)
- NHS Pension 20.6% employer contribution
- 25 days/200 hours/5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, rising with length of service (pro rata for part-time)
- Extra days leave for work anniversary each year
- Up to 5 days per year Special and Significant Event Leave
- Unsocial hours payment at 30%, Monday to Friday after 6pm and all-day Saturday and Sunday
- NMC/HCP fees paid annually
- Indemnity Cover for the hours worked
