Flight Software Team Lead

Holt Executive is seeking a highly skilled Flight Software Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Flight Software V&V team, you will be responsible for leading the development and verification of flight software for our satellite projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage the work of the software team, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality flight software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify software needs and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain software development methodologies and lifecycle for Flight Software.
  • Ensure security requirements are satisfied and a Secure Development Lifecycle is implemented.
  • Support knowledge transfer between global engineering teams and provide technical review inputs to projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant engineering/science discipline.
  • 5+ years of commercial experience in flight software development for satellites.
  • Experience with embedded systems programming (C/C++).
  • Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies and approaches.
  • Experience in implementing real-time systems and software solutions on spacecraft missions.
  • Knowledge of ECSS standards for Flight Software.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development practices.
  • Basic Linux system administration and scripting skills.
