Job Title: Lead Community Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced registered pharmacist to lead our community pharmacy team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to our patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental illness or learning disabilities in inpatient and community settings.
  • Lead the provision of a clinical and operational pharmacy service to a clinical team in a specified geographical area.
  • Be responsible for providing pharmacy and medicines-related care to allocated teams to ensure medicines prescribed are safe, effective, optimised and appropriate.
  • Lead on service development and projects as required by the department/service area, working with partner organisations/primary care.
  • Provide professional pharmacist support to the site you are based and mentor other pharmacists in the trust (including trainees) as required.
  • Undertake line management responsibility for pharmacy staff.
  • Have a responsibility to educate and develop the pharmacy and wider healthcare workforce as part of a teaching organisation.

Person Specification:
  • Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Postgraduate Diploma qualification
