  1. Asset Support: Provide first-line engineering support to maintenance teams, ensuring efficient execution of maintenance and repair activities.
  2. Engineering Authority (EA3): Offer qualified engineering guidance, endorsing engineering changes, maintenance deferrals, and operational risk assessments (ORAs) within authorized levels.
  3. Performance Monitoring: Act as the focal point for performance monitoring and troubleshooting of critical Control & Instrumentation systems, aiming to enhance efficiency, reliability, and reduce costs.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with higher-level engineering authorities and technical teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Competency Management: Ensure the technical competence of Control & Instrumentation maintenance personnel through interviews and competency testing.
  2. Budget Management: Keep discipline-specific engineering work within budget while ensuring accurate and timely delivery of OPEX services.
  3. Operational Improvement: Participate in operational improvement processes to optimize engineering support and drive continuous improvement.
  4. Planning: Contribute to the 28-day and 90-day asset planning processes, providing discipline-specific guidance and endorsement.
  5. Engineering Change: Review and endorse changes to Preventive Maintenance Routines (PMRs) within the SAP CMMS and identify necessary shutdown activities.
  6. Contract Representation: Represent the company as a technical representative for asset support contracts, ensuring vendors are prepared and mobilized according to the asset planning schedule.
  7. Compliance: Complete assigned actions by due dates, ensuring performance standards are met through an Inspection, Test, and Maintenance (ITM) program.
  8. Safety and Communication: Engage with site execution teams to promote safety, communication, and the understanding of organizational goals.
  9. Safety Certifications: Valid BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) and MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) certifications.
  10. Experience: At least 10 years of experience in engineering technical practices and legislation, with significant experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in engineering and production operations.
  11. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of UK oil and gas industry regulations, especially related to Control & Instrumentation.
  12. Quality Processes: Familiarity with quality processes and continuous improvement tools is advantageous.
  13. Documentation Proficiency: Experience with various types of engineering documentation.
  14. SAP/CMMS Experience: Experience with SAP PM or other CMMS systems is required.
Educational Qualifications:
  1. Degree: Engineering degree, preferably in Control & Instrumentation or a related field.
  2. Alternative Qualifications: HNC/HND considered if supplemented by extensive experience in Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
