Job Overview

We are in search of a passionate and dedicated Phonics Specialist Teaching Assistant to enhance our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional phonics instruction, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere, and supporting the overall growth and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, preparation, and execution of effective phonics lessons and interventions.
  • Work closely with small groups and individual learners to reinforce phonics concepts and cater to specific learning needs.
  • Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to educators and parents.
  • Contribute to the establishment of a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to develop and implement phonics strategies and resources.
  • Engage in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports on student performance and progress.
Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in phonics instruction.
  • Experience as a teaching assistant in a primary educational setting.

  • Capability to inspire and motivate learners.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
