Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of engineers, inspectors, and project managers in the delivery of a local government contract, including inspection, maintenance, strengthening, and reconstruction of structural assets.
- Develop and implement strategies for inspections, monitoring, and assessment, and communicate requirements to the team.
- Create and manage the forward works programme, prepare and monitor OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
- Review tender submissions, monitor supply chain partner and sub-contractor compliance to legislation and standards.
- Review Health and safety plans and risk assessments, carry out the duties of Designer where required by CDM regulations.
- Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE/MIStructE or equivalent) with experience of BCI inspections and working knowledge of Highway Structures design, maintenance, and management.
- Previous budgetary control, risk assessment, and management experience, excellent communication, initiative, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage a team.
- Competitive salary: £53-58,000 per annum, plus bonus and car/car allowance.
