Senior/Staff Graphics Software Engineer

Contribute to enhancing the performance of gaming and various applications across a multitude of Arm-based devices. Become a key member of our cutting-edge graphics research team and influence the evolution of mobile graphics technology.

This position is part of the expanding Strategy and Ecosystems division, dedicated to optimizing the developer experience for Graphics and Gaming applications on Arm platforms.

We seek a curious software engineer with a strong passion for Computer Graphics, eager to delve into the complete software stack and the foundational hardware and processor architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary focus of the team is to conduct thorough research into the latest advancements in mobile graphics methodologies, including GPU Driven rendering and global illumination. This involves identifying performance constraints and exploring innovative graphics techniques. The team also evaluates significant workloads from partners and benchmark vendors, implementing enhancements for superior performance and energy efficiency. Additionally, this role includes collaboration with our internal Performance Studio tooling team to prioritize tooling feature development.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming
  • Familiarity with modern graphics APIs
  • Experience in debugging and performance profiling
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of rendering techniques and related mathematics
  • Experience with Arm Mali or similar GPU architectures
  • Familiarity with game engines
  • Understanding of the mobile software and developer ecosystem
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of Android or Linux internals
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts
