Job Title: Council Tax/Business Rates Support Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Council Tax/Business Rates Support Consultant to join our NEC Entitlements Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, application support, and usage advice to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and application support to customers
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of application environments and ability to pick up application support issues
  • Understand contractual commitments and ensure incidents/problems are resolved within contracted SLA's
  • Translate customer requirements to provide workarounds and fixes to a wide range of customer problems
  • Identify and develop opportunities for revenue generation through provision of additional services and solutions to customers

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of Revenues and Benefits software
  • Good knowledge of Revenues Legislation, Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates
  • Ability to recognise and prioritise urgent calls
  • Ability to manage an issue to conclusion, co-ordinating the skills of additional resources, or past experience, as required
  • Experience of working for/with the Public Sector
  • Good customer relationship skills
