Job Title: Assistant Accountant
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Leicester. The successful candidate will support the Financial Accounts team with a range of accounting tasks, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and vendor setup.
About the Role
- This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in financial accounting.
- The ideal candidate will have a degree or strong A-level results and a desire to work in accounting.
- They will also have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, and be able to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage own workload are essential.
- Experience with SAP ERP is beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Financial Accounts team with accounting tasks, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
- Set up and maintain vendor records.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting and treasury tasks.
- Support with accounts preparation and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
