The Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is actively seeking Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Instructors to enhance our consultancy initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to our mission of capacity building and knowledge sharing across various impactful projects.

About CIR

CIR is a non-profit social enterprise dedicated to identifying and countering influence operations that threaten democracy and objective truth. Our goal is to raise awareness and provide solutions against disinformation and related threats.

We operate through three main avenues: research and programs, the Media Hub, and our Resilience Network. Our collaborative approach aims to unite partners from civil society, media, grassroots organizations, academia, and democratic governments globally.

While our primary working language is English, our diverse team is spread across Europe and beyond, reflecting our commitment to international collaboration.

Role Overview

As an OSINT Instructor, you will be instrumental in advancing our objectives by developing and delivering tailored training sessions for partner organizations. This role provides the opportunity to create customized content relevant to the specific contexts of your audience, including Human Rights Commissions and various other entities.

Qualifications

We have two positions available: one for an Intermediate Instructor and one for an Associate Instructor. Below are the details:

Intermediate Instructor:
  • Experience in conducting pre-training needs assessments for diverse groups and utilizing findings to develop targeted training materials.
  • Proven track record in delivering in-person OSINT training to varied audiences.
  • Ability to clearly articulate OSINT methodologies and processes, backed by personal experience.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for training delivery.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and inclusivity in diverse training settings.
  • Experience in creating training materials for both in-person and digital self-paced learning.
Associate Instructor:
  • Understanding of pre-training needs assessment methods and effective survey design using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
  • Experience in supporting OSINT training, whether in-person or digital, for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with OSINT methodologies and the ability to explain them in general terms.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for training delivery.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and inclusivity in diverse training settings.
  • Experience in creating training materials for both in-person and digital self-paced learning.
