Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality support to our patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Phlebotomy and Clinical Support: Assist the practice nurse and GPs with the management of chronic disease clinics, including undertaking ECGs and health checks.
  • Immunisations and Vaccinations: Participate in NHS seasonal health campaigns, such as flu vaccinations, and administer injections after training.
  • Wound Care and Dressings: Provide wound care and dressing services as required.
  • Chaperone Duty: Provide chaperone support when required.
  • Stock Management: Ensure fridges are cleaned and stocked routinely, and manage clinical supplies.
  • Clinical IT Systems: Utilize clinical IT systems to support patient care.
  • Confidentiality and Data Protection: Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Waste Management: Remove clinical waste and replace sharps bins as per guidelines.
Requirements
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Time Management: Show flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of the role and the healthcare environment.
  • Negotiable Salary: Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
  • NHS Pension Scheme: Eligible for the NHS pension scheme.
