Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic SEMH secondary school in South West London. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a pupil who requires support with challenging behaviour and emotional needs.

About the Role:
  • Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with SEMH needs
  • Work with the pupil to develop strategies to manage challenging behaviour
  • Support the pupil to access the curriculum and achieve their academic potential
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and strategies
