Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the allocation and routing of vehicles to optimize service delivery and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Support employee engagement and continuous improvement in productivity and quality of service provision.
  • Manage route efficiency and utilize optimum disposal outlets to ensure effective use of vehicles and facilities.
  • Perform administrative duties, including input of pay and bonus information, and accurate input of disposal data.
  • Proactively manage vehicle availability, ensuring drivers have completed checks in accordance with company policy.
  • Contribute to ongoing cost control and actively seek to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks associated with the Dispatch office are completed, including time sheets, tachograph records, payroll records, and holiday rotas.
  • Deliver mandatory training, induction, and toolbox talks in line with company policy.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar position in the Services or Logistics industry.
  • National CPC is ideal.
  • Experience in managing a labour-intensive, multi-shift environment is ideal.
  • Local geographical knowledge.
  • Experience in first-line operational management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, plan with precision, and work collaboratively with others.
