About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Visiting Specialist to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive health care and support to families within our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality health visiting services, encompassing child development assessments, perinatal mental health support, and safeguarding guidance.
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including colleagues from primary and secondary care, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Providing expert advice and education to families on a range of health topics, empowering them to make informed decisions about their well-being.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative health visiting programs.
Essential Requirements
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as an Adult Nurse, Children's Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, or Midwife.
- Specialist Community Public Health Nursing qualification in Health Visiting and current NMC registration for Health Visiting.
- Registered Nurse Prescriber (NMC V100).
- In-depth knowledge of the Healthy Child Programme (2009) and contemporary health visiting practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding procedures and current best practices.
- Proven experience in working with diverse populations and managing challenging situations effectively.
Desirable Requirements
- Evidence of continuous professional development at level 6.
- Experience in staff management within a team setting.
- Previous experience as a Practice Assessor/Supervisor.
