Job Title: Structural Clerk of Works

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Clerk of Works to join our team at Anderselite LTD. As a key member of our civils and nuclear division, you will be responsible for overseeing a programme of repairs to structures within a particular dock.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily on-site presence at clients Dockyard (Plymouth) to ensure the successful execution of repairs to structures.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all matters relating to the proposed reinforced concrete repairs.
  • Collaborate closely with repair contractors, design engineers, and the core engineering team to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Work closely with the Senior Engineer responsible for the specification of repairs to ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Oversee the repairs scheduling in conjunction with all stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to facilitate efficient governance of the repair process.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of key client requirements and specifications relating to structural repairs.
  • Identify and manage risks, particularly those affecting safety, and ensure all tasks are performed with the utmost regard for health and safety.

Please note that due to security restrictions, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer and no dual nationality.

Requirements:
  • Concrete and steel remedial works experience.
  • QA/QC experience.
  • Concrete and steel design experience.
  • Nuclear industry or heavy civils experience.
  • Ideal candidate will be chartered with a relevant institution (ICE, or IStructE).
  • Management of subcontractors/consultant.
  • Candidate will have a degree or equivalent in a Civil or Structural engineering related discipline. Preferably a member of a relevant professional institution or working towards membership.
