About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a quality catering service that meets the needs and expectations of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including food safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Minimise food waste and use equipment efficiently to maintain a high level of service.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues to the Chef Manager or relevant authorities.

Requirements

  • Level 2 food safety certificate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
  • Previous experience in catering, with a good understanding of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
  • Experience of working with older people, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

Desirable Skills

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to work in a pressured environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
