About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a quality catering service that meets the needs and expectations of our residents.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations and procedures.
- Minimize food waste and optimize the use of kitchen equipment.
- Escalate any concerns or issues to the Chef Manager or other relevant staff members.
Requirements
- Level 2 food safety certificate.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
- Previous catering experience and knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
- Experience of working with older people.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to organize time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work in a pressured environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team and individually.
