Electrical Design and Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design and Project Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects and studies, supervising teams, and ensuring technical standards, project schedules, and safety requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering projects, ensuring technical standards, project schedules, and safety requirements are met, while managing design teams and multidisciplinary interfaces.
  • Perform engineering tasks for electrical systems, including design, troubleshooting, and improvement, and oversee site visits and coordination with global offices.
  • Prepare man-hour estimates, plan project activities, and evaluate the impact of new legislation on plant design and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet technical and business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and project records.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering and team leadership within Oil & Gas, especially in Upstream Engineering.
  • Proficient in using ETAP for electrical analysis and proficient in preparing requisitions and technical appraisals for electrical equipment.
  • Excellent English proficiency for technical presentations and strong communication skills.
  • Desirable skills include offshore certification and experience with Floating Units.

This is a permanent position, based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, with a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location.
