We are seeking an experienced Head of Agri Operations to oversee the performance of Biogen's Agri Anaerobic Digestion (AD) sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in national operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Control of Change to ensure seamless operations
  • Drive performance to meet or exceed budget/KPI standards
  • Lead a high-performing team to achieve operational excellence

About the Role

This is a national role involving travel between sites. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring critical procedures, fostering a culture of risk awareness and responsible practices. You will need to be able to analyse and implement cost-effective commercial viability throughout the whole operation, maximising long-term profitability.

Requirements

  • Experience of environmental, safety and quality management systems
  • Experience of working with planned preventive maintenance systems
  • WAMITAB Certificate of Technical Competence
  • NEBOSH safety qualifications (General Certificate)
  • Experience of ISO9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001

About Biogen (UK) Ltd

Biogen is the UK's leader in anaerobic digestion (AD) and one of the largest independent AD operators in the UK. We continue to expand our food waste and agri feedstock recycling network through acquisition, with a combined network of nineteen AD plants located across England, Scotland and Wales.

Location: National Role, location is flexible – Head office in Bedford.

Job Type: Full time, permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary: up to max £85,000 pa dependent on experience
