The Class 1 Day Driver position at Gregory Distribution involves delivering and collecting goods to customers using a curtain-sided vehicle. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 (CE) License, a current DCPC Card, and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring load security.
- Delivering and collecting goods to customers.
- Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
- Using a handheld PDA to complete daily vehicle checks.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customer expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (CE) License.
- Current DCPC Card.
- Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
Benefits:
