Job Title: Class 1 Night Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join our team at Gregory. As a Class 1 Night Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods to customers using a curtain-sided vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring load security.
  • Delivering and collecting goods to customers.
  • Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Using a handheld PDA to complete daily vehicle checks.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customer expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
Benefits:
  • Basic salary of £38,750pa (including night shift allowance).

  • Hours of work are Sunday to Thursday, start time 17:30hrs.
