Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be to facilitate the seamless operation of abnormal load management, adhering to the legal obligations outlined in relevant regulations.

  • Support the Network Occupancy Manager with:
    • Management of temporary and permanent traffic orders.
    • Oversight of highway regulatory and enforcement activities.
    • Protection of infrastructure and highway assets.
    • Network management and inspection oversight.
    • Coordination and planning for special events.

Provide administrative assistance for the notice processing function, ensuring compliance with service standards and legal requirements.

Collaboration and Support

Assist the Network Occupancy Manager and team with various functions, offering operational or technical guidance to the Agency Business, Delivery, and Network Operations teams.

Network Occupancy Management

Implement and manage systems, policies, and processes related to network occupancy management.

Act as the primary contact for road hauliers regarding initial abnormal load applications and inquiries, coordinating with internal agency personnel.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Experience in technical administration within a fast-paced office environment.
  • Proficiency in handling sensitive inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GiS) is advantageous.

This position may require occasional work outside standard office hours.
