We are seeking an HR Consultant to become a vital part of our esteemed HR Division. At Turning Point Scotland, we prioritize the value of our people.
Our workforce is at the heart of our operations, and we are dedicated to nurturing and retaining our outstanding team of 1200 professionals through innovative strategies and award-winning policies.
This position is ideal for individuals looking to advance their HR careers, particularly those with backgrounds as HR Assistants, HR Administrators, or HR Officers.
As an HR Consultant within our Employee Relations Team, your duties will encompass providing thorough support and guidance to colleagues and managers across the organization, serving as the initial point of contact for casework, and collaborating closely with seasoned HR Business Partners who will facilitate your development, allowing you to refine the skills necessary to maintain our exceptional Employee Relations services and deliver effective case support to the team.
What qualities would make you an ideal candidate?
Experience in discussing scenarios and situations with managers and staff, asking critical questions to gather all relevant information about a case, along with proficiency in drafting HR correspondence and documentation, such as letters and meeting notes, is essential, as well as possessing foundational case management skills.
While familiarity with the Social Care Sector is not mandatory, we are looking for individuals who are curious, eager to learn, and possess a practical, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Key characteristics include the ability to work autonomously, along with strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues at all levels. Engaging with colleagues and managers necessitates effective communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Being open to enhancing your skills through reflective practice, active learning, and professional growth is vital.
We implement hybrid working arrangements based on operational requirements, with a typical expectation of being in our Head Office in Glasgow at least 2 days per week, alongside regular travel to various services.
