Candidate Profile

You should be capable of diagnosing, repairing, and servicing various production equipment. Relevant qualifications in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines are essential. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
  • Utilize systematic approaches to identify and resolve faults
  • Conduct regular maintenance inspections and tests on equipment and facilities
  • Propose enhancements to improve machine reliability and production efficiency
  • Offer technical support and guidance on machinery operations
  • Assist in the maintenance of site facilities
  • Address breakdown repairs as they arise
  • Help establish maintenance standards
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
  • Ensure effective communication with relevant departments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records
  • Manage inventory levels of machine parts and consumables
  • Coordinate with contractors and oversee work permits
  • Support and mentor apprentices or new team members

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Qualifications in Mechanical and Electrical fields
  • Familiarity with 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices
  • Experience in engineering and maintenance roles
  • Background in optics or manufacturing settings is advantageous
  • Proficient problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset
  • Self-motivated and driven
