We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at JD Gyms. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the gym, including leading and managing a team of staff, driving commercial performance, and delivering operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the gym, including overseeing all business areas and ensuring the highest standards of customer service.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.
  • Drive commercial performance by developing and implementing sales strategies, managing local marketing activity, and coordinating with the General Manager to achieve business objectives.
  • Deliver operational excellence by maintaining and developing standards and reputation, nurturing a growing membership base, and leading the team to success.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a management position within a leisure-related industry, ideally with a background in fitness and leisure management.
  • Passionate about customer service and able to inspire and motivate a team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor and experienced in driving sales and managing a successful team.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, members, and external partners.
