{"About the Role": "As an Area Manager at Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the smooth operation of our Fulfilment Centres. Your key focus will be on creating and driving a culture of safety and wellbeing, while also analysing and implementing changes to maintain high quality and productivity levels.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create and oversee a culture of safety and wellbeing
* Analyse and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity
* Oversee projects to streamline processes and improve productivity
* Analyse shift performance and implement actions to improve operational excellence
* Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices

A Day in the Life:

As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfilment Centres, ensuring it runs as efficiently as possible. Your main focus will be on owning and driving a culture of safety, upholding quality and shift performance standards, and overseeing process improvements within your area. You will also be a role model and mentor to new managers.

About the Team:

Customer Fulfilment is the backbone of Amazon's operations, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. Our team is the foundation of our business, and we're always looking for ways to improve our services using emerging technology. We're based in Fulfilment Centres, which are at the heart of Amazon's fast-paced Operations network.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree
* Relevant experience in people management
* Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
* High proficiency in English language

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
* AR experience recommended
* Experience working in another logistics environment
* Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
