Bids Manager Job Description

Leighton Taylor Consulting is seeking an experienced Bids Manager to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our bids and tenders team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our ambitious growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage private and public sector bids from across our core seven sectors, including Digital, Financial Services, Future Energy, Leisure, Food & Drink, Government & Public Services, and Real Estate.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of our firm's offering and produce tender analysis informing management information and reporting.
  • Project manage tenders from opportunity assessment stage through to drafting, submission, and post-submission feedback and reporting.
  • Scope bid requirements, manage the bid 'go/no-go' process, identify key stakeholders, and map out how to achieve maximum marks against evaluation criteria.
  • Work with the lead partner and subject matter experts to develop a winning strategy and clearly identify our firm's value proposition.
  • Prepare bid plans and delivery programmes, and implement a structured best practice end-to-end process.
  • Prepare teams for presentations and pitches to clients and write compelling copy for proposals.
  • Ensure the continuous development of systems and processes to assist tender production and work with our pricing team to develop pricing strategy.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in a similar role within a professional services environment, ideally legal.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work to multiple deadlines.
  • Confidence interacting, working, and communicating efficiently with a wide range of colleagues both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent spelling and grammar, good attention to detail, and strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • An understanding of the regulatory environment will be advantageous.
