About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Catheterisation Nurse to join our team at the Peninsula Heart Clinic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting medical staff with diagnostic and interventional procedures, angiogram, PCI, pacing, and EPS in our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterisation laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist medical staff with diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Perform scrub and circulating duties during procedures
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any deterioration of clinical condition to senior nurse
  • Recognise life-threatening arrhythmias and summon help
  • Perform and interpret ECGs
  • Perform venepuncture and cannulation
  • ILS trained
  • Teach and supervise junior staff nurses and unqualified staff
  • Lead the unit team if required

Requirements

  • RN (General) or HCPC registered ODP
  • 2 Years post-registration experience in a Catheter Lab
  • Intermediate Life Support
  • Venepuncture and cannulation
  • Evidence of recent practice development
