About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Archive Researcher to join our team at BBC Studios. As an Archive Researcher, you will play a crucial role in uncovering and analyzing historical content to support our digital social channels and programming initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of archive content to identify suitable materials for publication on our digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with our programming teams to understand their strategy and provide expert advice on archive content.
  • Work closely with our Rights teams to ensure compliance with editorial guidelines and copyright laws.
  • Develop and present creative ideas for content and programming output, utilizing your knowledge of archive materials and audience needs.
  • Sourcing and publishing archive material, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of BBC editorial guidelines and compliance policies.
  • Passion for archive and media history, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working with archive systems and databases, with the ability to condense large amounts of data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to pitch ideas and support documentation.
