About the RoleWe are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Support Worker in Scrabster. In this role, you will provide support to a gentleman with health and learning difficulties to live independently in his own home. You will work with a tailored care and support plan to meet his individual needs.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, physically active, and enjoy the outdoors and various activities, including swimming, walking, and attending day centers. You will also have the opportunity to spend time with close family members.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication.
- Work with a tailored care and support plan to meet the individual's needs.
- Participate in activities that promote the individual's physical and emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively with the individual, their family, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Previous experience in a support worker or care assistant role is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
