Role Overview

Position: Support Specialist - Drivers Required

Important Note: Applicants requiring a Visa to work in the UK are not eligible for this position.

Location: Clanfield, Waterlooville, Hampshire, PO8

Compensation: £11.88 per hour + Benefits

Work Hours: Up to 25 hours per week, flexible shifts from Monday to Sunday

We are searching for Support Specialists who are calm, empathetic, and resilient. Your driving skills and consistent approach will be vital in assisting those we support to engage in their preferred activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care, laundry, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Building relationships with individuals to help them lead fulfilling lives.
  • Taking accountability for the quality of care provided.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of those in your care.
  • Supporting individuals in planning and achieving their personal goals.
  • Organizing and promoting activities, including social outings and learning opportunities.
  • Aiding individuals in managing their personal affairs and attending appointments.
  • Treating individuals and their families with respect and dignity.
  • Adhering to the values of SeeAbility in all aspects of your work.

We seek individuals who can commit to 25 hours per week and are flexible with shift patterns, including day and night support.

Who Will You Support?

You will be part of a dedicated team supporting a young man transitioning from his family home to independent living. He has severe learning disabilities and autism, along with specific nutritional needs and complex behavioral challenges.

Your role as a Support Specialist will be crucial. You will receive guidance from SeeAbility's Positive Behavioral consultants, and tailored training will be provided to ensure the highest quality of support for this individual as he embarks on this new chapter in his life.

The individual enjoys community activities and home-based engagement, including zip lining, hydrotherapy, walking, and using his iPad.

While it is preferred that you hold a full UK driving license to assist him with appointments and community activities, it is not mandatory.
