About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Transport Planner to join our team at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs). As a Transport Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the future development of our transport infrastructure, which is vital to supporting sustainable economic growth and prosperity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and respond to Transport Assessments for major developments
  • Prepare the County Council's Strategic Transport Assessments, which inform the spatial planning proposals of our District/Borough Councils
  • Identify, design, and develop multi-modal solutions to transport challenges
  • Lead the development and implementation of a transport strategy for a specific area of the County
  • Project manage individual transport schemes from inception to delivery
Requirements
  • Motivated, creative, and good organisational skills
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills to evaluate and interpret transport data and modelling outputs
  • Advanced Excel user, able to use spreadsheets to analyse and manipulate complex data
  • Previous experience in transport planning and transport modelling is desirable, but not essential
